This week at C'Ville Market
Potatoes- February is National Potato Lover's Month! C'ville Market has all your favorite potatoes loose for your selection or in 5 or 10 pound bags. Find Russet potatoes, sweet potatoes, Yukon Golds and more at C'ville Market. Look for specials on potatoes throughout this month.Asparagus- Demand has driven the price up a bit, but asparagus remains at consistent volume and good quality this winter. Green Beans- Great for hearty casseroles and healthy side dishes, green beans may be a little pricey but we do have a steady supply at C'ville Market. Grapes- We are finding grapes have good quality and decent color, but they are running a little more expensive right now with heavy rains and difficult harvests. Find both red and white grapes at C'ville Market now. Apples- We still have locally grown apples! Read about what we have on our Produce link. Granny Smith and Fuji apples are great for warm cobbler or sliced on a cheese tray. Cantaloupe and Honeydew- The cantaloupe market is steady and quality has been outstanding. For both honeydew and cantaloupe we are seeing great color and large sizes. We have both at C'ville Market. Tomatoes- We've heard that the freezing temperatures in Florida this winter "had no mercy" on the tomato plants there. Look for tomato products from Mexico, including Roma tomatoes and the pricier grape and cherry varieties. Cucumbers and Bell Peppers- Nearly all crops of cucumbers and bell peppers in Florida were hit hard by the freezing temperatures. Don't be surprised to see higher prices through late spring. Weekly Notes: To celebrate National Potato Lover's Month, C'ville Market will have specials on potatoes all month, and be sure to clip this week's internet coupon for even more potato savings. Whether it is America's famous Idaho potato or our very own locally grown, potatoes are versatile and naturally fat free. Americans eat potatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Check out our favorite potato dishes here each week throughout February.
